EAA Chapter 431 - Brodhead, Wisconsin
Promoting Aviation in the Brodhead Area

Aviation Explorer Post 1903

July, 2008 Update

Our Aviation Venturers have been very busy in 2008. So busy in fact they’ve had little time to meet.

This spring, two of the crew earned their Eagle Scout badge in separate ceremonies attended by Representative Brett Davis. Ben and Andrew received the awards from Brodhead Mayor Doug Pinnow.

Andrew also received his appointment to the Air Force Academy from U.S. Representative Tammy Baldwin.

James has been working Saturdays at the Beloit Airport and building flight time toward his glider rating.

Luke and Jacob have been flying at the Aviation Academy in Janesville and will probably solo this summer.

Ryan is working toward his Airframe and Powerplant license at Blackhawk Technical Institute at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport Campus.

Aviation Explorer Post 1903 has been established at the Brodhead Airport. Young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eight grade) through 20 years of age are welcome to join. Parents welcome also.

Contact the webmaster for more information and check back for updates and meeting schedules.

All Aviation Explorer Post members are invited to the Groundhog Chili Ski Fly-In, Saturday, February 3, 2007, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The "bad weather day" is February 4.
